The International Winter Institute for Business Management (IWIBM) program is based on our summer undergraduate program, the International Summer Institute for Business Management (ISIBM). Both programs build on pedagogy that has earned UVic several international awards. The IWIBM program has been created to enhance your business education, improve your business language skills, and prepare for your future business success in an engaging and fun international learning environment.
Students have attended our programs from countries including Germany, Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea, France, Netherlands, India, Austria, Kenya, Bulgaria, Hungary, Tunisia, Indonesia, China, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, and Australia.
The IWIBM is ideal for undergraduate students from various disciplines who:
- Need to improve their written, oral, and non-verbal communication skills within a business management context
- Wish to develop a fundamental understanding of business skills and tools to succeed in today’s global marketplace
- Wish to experience Canadian University level education
- Plan to study abroad in the future and want to sample an international learning environment
